Some Purim Pics
As many of you know, last week was Purim and Dina and I dressed up as a gangster and a flapper girl. We had a wonderful time, please see the pics below:
and for those who didn't receive Mishloach Manot, Dina composed this wonderful poem...
a gangster and his flapper,
the jazz age prohibited wine,
but purim lets us twist the facts,
so 1920 meet 2009.
today we call it vintage,
but it in the roaring twenties it was new,
simple and raw cuisine,
art deco distinguished the era too.
a chag purim sameach,
happy celebrating in the big d,
wtih the bag of pareve cash,
from dina and joe ravitsky

Joe wishes he was Don Draper...
After devouring episode after episode of Madmen, and falling in love with the late 1950s, skinny ties, tie clips, martinis, dinner waiting for men when they came home, A-line dresses, nice watches, 2 hour lunches...wait, Joe was already in love with all those things...either way, Dina did everything she could to fulfill Joe's birthday wishes...
More pics as always here.

We're Married!
Dina: Can you believe we got married over a week ago?
Joe: Yes Honey.
Dina: Yes what,? don't you wish we were back there again?
Joe: Sure honey.
Dina: By the way, did you ask my dad about how to put up the shelves?
Joe: Yes honey
Dina: We have to go to drop off the movie tomorrow, and Walmart for groceries and Home Depot to change the shelves.
Joe: Sure Honey
Dina: Are you even listening to me?
Joe: What? Sure, Yeah, I love you? I listen to you and only you, when I hear your voice birds chirp in my ear, my heart yearns...
Dina: You are soooooo CHEEEESY!!!
